I have been training at AWR for seven years at the time of this review. I first walked in the door as an aspiring actor looking for some movement training, but what kept me coming was not just the training in a martial art but the clear friendship and community that develops among those who continue to train here. There is a diverse group of people and the instruction varies based on the instructor that evening and the members available, but it always gives you a link back to discovering more about Aikido as a martial art and philosophy. We may not be the ideal image of a dojo that you would expect in traditional martial arts training, but we offer an opportunity to learn and grow with the rest of us.
